Remember this great shot of the 3 amigos? My how time flys!

Well I don't really have any pictures to put on the blog. I haven't taken any because it has been too much work lately and anyway I don't think anyone reads or even looks at my blog so I guess thats good, I can put on my blog anything I want and not get hassled by anyone for being to free with information or not free enough or whatever. So I will take this opportunity to thank my family for putting up with me these last 6 or 7 months. I have felt so down and sluggish, kinda like an old slug on a rock and so have probably not done any planning or haven't helped people with kids or projects as should be expected by a mom or grandma, but I just feel tired and sad. I miss Tim and I know his children miss him and my daughter misses him and sometimes it just feels as if life stinks. I know this is not really true when I count my blessings, but right now I just want to wallow in self pity and be miserable. Come tomorrow - January 1, 2010, I will perk right up and get busy with stuff. (new years resolutions!) So this is my complaining and whining blog for the last day of 2009. My house is a mess, I need to clean up a bunch of junk, I want to park my car in the garage and not scrape my windows and I want to know where all my junk is. So waa waa waa, boo hoo hoo! Tomorrow will be a new day, but today I just want to crawl in my bed and be sad. Love Mom

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO OUR SON IN LAW!

Happy Belated Birthday to our fantastic and wonderful son in law Josh! He is amazing and we are so thankful for him. He is kind and loving to my daughter, a great provider and an attentive and devoted father to our grandson. We couldn't ask for anyone better. He is fun and witty, has a great sense of humor and we love to be around him. We use his many talents and kind of take advantage of his profession and knowledge and he never seems to mind, but just wants to be of service. We appreciate you Josh and hope this year is a great one for you. Thank you for all your hard work in loving and serving your family. You Rock!! Happy Birthday!!! John and Edie

Pioneers at Cove Fort July 2009

On our way home from Cedar City we acquired a new kid! It was great fun to have cousin Madsen with us for a few weeks. Posing on this covered wagon. If you haven't been to Cove Fort it's only about an hour an a half south and gives you a great appreciation for the Saints that settled there. What courage and tenacity to build that place and live there.

Whew! the view is dizzying. Cedar Breaks and my kids.

Our hike at Cedar Breaks in July

We went to the Shakespearean Festival in Cedar City in July and took a trip up to Cedar Breaks. It is so breathtaking, not just the hike ha ha - but especially the view.

Happy Belated Birthday Grandma Jaynann Payne

A belated birthday shout out to my mother in law, Jaynann Morgan Payne! She is truly amazing and wonderful. She is now 81 years young and thats no bull. (about the young part) If you travel with her you better be in good shape because she will wear you out. She can run circles around any 30 year old. She has raised 12 amazing children (not to mention their spouses) and has about 100 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Probably more but it takes too long to count. She still whips up tasty meals, writes, produces and acts in plays. Remembers everyones, and I mean everyones birthdays and all the while manages to look like a million dollars. She has fed our family so many times with the most amazing Sunday Dinners taht they are too numerous to count... "Can we eat at Grandmas, pleeeeze?" Her spirituality is deep and balanced. You can find her at the Provo Temple if she is not at home on her computer sharing a spiritual, funny or political thought with... the world, or at a function of a grandchild or great grandchild. She is inclusive to everyone. She has seen her share of heart break and trials and yet never waivered in her faith and trust in the Lord. She has met challenges with faith and not bitterness. She supporst the downtrodden and hopeless with her love and encouragement and never gives up on anyone. She is willing to do and say the hard thing as long as it is the right thing. She is a woman with "true grit" and I love her very much. Happy Birthday Jaynann. Dean, John Rulon and Fern are very proud!

Ellee and Adrienne getting eggs!

Our Easter Egg Hunt. March 2009. This is Kambria.

Off they go! Thank you Hiroko for getting the balloons and helping us get so many things done after Tim's death.

Balloon Send Off For Timothy John Dailey

We wrote notes and sent balloons into the ski to help us get through the tough moments of loneliness and grief. It helps to see yellow and the balloons soaring up into the air. Tim we love you and miss you.

UIncle Ben - the funnest Uncle!

Taken at Rock Canyon Park in Provo. Ben with his admirer's Ellee and Olivia.

Finally back to posting on my blog again!

This picture was taken at Sundance with Morgan, Keira, Ben, Nicole, Daniele and Wendy. Thank you Wendy for taking Morgan skiing so many times. What a handsome group!

On our trip to Las Vegas we visited Red Rock Canyon and did a little hiking. We had Morgan's team mate Tony with us and we really enjoyed the warm weather and watching Morg's play soccer. It was so nice to hike with no snow. We kept thinking about Provo being 15 degrees while we were enjoying 65 degrees. It's amazing how much difference there is. I love these pictures, wish we could have hiked a couple of days.

Last week we went to Las Vegas for the Vegas Cup Soccer Tournament. The weather was beautifl and we loved every minute of it! I could live there in the winter. Morgan played well and I was able to capture a few good pictures. Doesn't he look awesome! He's such a fun player to watch.

Over the holidays the Payne family sisters got together for lunch. Wow they are all so beautiful. Missing were Louise (she came a little later) and Nancy, who was out of town and of course, Rosie, Jill, Heather and Karen. Ok so, there are alot of them missing, but who's counting?
Keira, and her cousin Miriam and Grandma Payne went to "Color Me Mine" and painted ceramic figurines. Miriam painted a dolphin and Kiera painted a little dog. They both had a lot of fun and the figurines turned out so cute. I made a big mug to make my oatmeal in.
Thanks to Auntie Racquel, Keira had her first ski day at Sundance over the Christmas Holiday. Keira was a great pupil and Racquel was a fantastic teacher. Very patient. They had a blast!
