Summer Swim Team Days
Pioneers at Cove Fort July 2009
On our way home from Cedar City we acquired a new kid! It was great fun to have cousin Madsen with us for a few weeks. Posing on this covered wagon. If you haven't been to Cove Fort it's only about an hour an a half south and gives you a great appreciation for the Saints that settled there. What courage and tenacity to build that place and live there.

Happy Belated Birthday Grandma Jaynann Payne
A belated birthday shout out to my mother in law, Jaynann Morgan Payne! She is truly amazing and wonderful. She is now 81 years young and thats no bull. (about the young part) If you travel with her you better be in good shape because she will wear you out. She can run circles around any 30 year old. She has raised 12 amazing children (not to mention their spouses) and has about 100 grandchildren and great grandchildren. Probably more but it takes too long to count. She still whips up tasty meals, writes, produces and acts in plays. Remembers everyones, and I mean everyones birthdays and all the while manages to look like a million dollars. She has fed our family so many times with the most amazing Sunday Dinners taht they are too numerous to count... "Can we eat at Grandmas, pleeeeze?" Her spirituality is deep and balanced. You can find her at the Provo Temple if she is not at home on her computer sharing a spiritual, funny or political thought with... the world, or at a function of a grandchild or great grandchild. She is inclusive to everyone. She has seen her share of heart break and trials and yet never waivered in her faith and trust in the Lord. She has met challenges with faith and not bitterness. She supporst the downtrodden and hopeless with her love and encouragement and never gives up on anyone. She is willing to do and say the hard thing as long as it is the right thing. She is a woman with "true grit" and I love her very much. Happy Birthday Jaynann. Dean, John Rulon and Fern are very proud!
